hello dolly

I woke up at 8 this morning in the BEST mood.
Discovered that Hulu has clips from the Today show and laughed my ass off. Al Roker always has the most ridiculous things to say about everything. God bless that man. There was also a really cool story about a jobless man in europe who found Anglo-Saxon gold and silver artifacts with a $6 dollar metal detector! Maybe I should invest in a metal detector...
I made my brother get out of bed and I made him some french toast as I listened to some Louis Armstrong. He always puts me in the best mood. God bless that man too.
Trevor was kind enough to clean up after breakfast as I danced around the kitchen to MGMT.
Dave came by with Lucy later and I was so so so happy to see that little doll. Goodness I miss her.

Check out these amazing moves...this was me in another life.

blood on the tracks

Today was.....well today.
Today I...locked myself in my room, listened to some Bob Dylan and made some crafts.
It was nice.
.
.
And now, time to share one of my favorite animated short films.
I love everything about this...

I despise coughing and coughing despises me...

Being sick is the worst. Not having any health insurance is worse.
Luckily and surprisingly CVS came to the rescue. Ever heard of Minute Clinic?
Neither had I until today. It's a clinic at CVS where their nurse practitioners and physician
assistants diagnose and treat you. It was by far the easiest thing. I was in and out of there in 20 minutes with a prescription for my magical codeine. Hopefully I can now sleep in peace.
Thank you CVS for coming through once again.

ads 4 africa

So I'm always getting these obnoxious invites on my facebook to become a fan of some ridiculous person or to go to some boring party but then I received an invitation to join a cause some day. Way to go facebook- finally using your powers for good! Well one day I came across an invitation for a cause called Ads4Africa. I was so happy to come across this charity because it gives people to the opportunity to help out without having to donate money that no one really has in this economy. The money from this goes to help poverty-stricken families by funding micro-loans so they can start small business. Amazing, right? There are two ways you can help out...

a.) Use the Ads4Africa search engine. http://search.ads4africa.org/

The search engine is the same as google only everytime you use it you're earning money for the charity. The search engine has certain sponsors that will donate money everytime it is used.

or

b.) Sign up to have these sponsors advertise on your blog. (hint hint)

You can go here http://ads4africa.org/start-helping/ to sign up and get a html code for your blog.

So there you have it folks-an easy and amazing way for anyone and everyone to help out our fellow beings in need. Now start helping-use the search engine to look up the lyrics to Peter Gabriel's "In Your Eyes" or something cool like that.

my new minolta SR-T 303

is absolutely amazing. I was waiting in line at the amvets thrift store to purchase my records that I had carefully selected, when I saw this beautiful creature in one of the display windows under the counter. I asked the clerk to see it and the second I got my hands on it I knew we were destined to be together. So a trip to the atm and forty bones later we were on our way home...peep some pics from the first role...

New movie trailer I was thrilled to discover:
Fantastic Mr. Fox from director Wes Anderson..

Most recent movie I saw in theatres:
500 Days of Summer. I thought it was a very very smart, funny and honest movie. I wouldn't mind seeing it again while it's still in theatres.

Last night I:
Went to the Padres game with Lindsay and Alex... had a marvelous time being downtown with good company.

Right now I will:
Unpack Caitlynn's belongings since she's neglected to do so since she arrived last week.

Favorite quote at the moment:
From Breakfast at Tiffany's which is one of my all time favorite movies...

"She's a phony, but she's a real phony."
