bootlegs

update

The end of this year couldn't have gone any better. So many adventures and fun nights this last week. Christmas was pretty good besides the fact that my insomnia kept me up till 7 in the morning! I got 3 hours of sleep and then had to wake up for presents. New camera! It was about dang time. My dearest and oldest friend Ari came into town and we had such a lovely time together-I can't wait to go visit her in a couple months in santa cruz. She had to go back today so she made me an amazing breakfast-tofu scramble-then we got some tea and shared our favorite stories of 2009. I didn't realize I had so many good ones! Maybe this year wasn't that bad after all. I'm going to new york next week and cannot cannot wait! I know I'm going to freeze to death but it'll be worth it. Now I'm off to make my hair dark once again...I'm sick of the mess my haircolor's become.

peacoats and boots

I'm so happy that it finally started getting cold here. I can finally wear my coats and hats without looking like an idiot.
Christmas is coming kind of early this year because we're celebrating it at my grandparent's house tomorrow. I love gatherings with the family but I get super bored easily because I don't have any cousins my age so I'm stuck watching some kind of football game with the adults. Bleh.
I finally got to wear my christmas sweater last weekend-simply amazing.
It's finally starting to feel like christmas...well sort of.

tortilla face

I was making quesadillas with Lilly today. I felt her tap me on the shoulder and I turned around to see this...

TORTILLA FACE. I laughed forever.

I finally booked my flight to new york. I am so so excited.
1)I've never been and I've always been dying to go.
2)I'll get to be with my friend I've had since I was born.
Actually, we've probably been friends since we were in the womb.
3)I'm staying with my second favorite family.* They're a riot. All I do is laugh when I'm with them.

My sister finally put up pictures of my nephew Connor.
For some reason, this was my favorite.

false alarm

The rain storm yesterday was so incredible. I love the mood that comes along with the rain. I was so upset to wake up today and find out that it was back to being sunny....boring.
Thanks to my insomnia and netflix I got myself into the show Dexter. I really really like it.
Thanks to Grant always being asleep when I come over I started reading The Lacuna. So far it's pretty good.

solitary man

This past week was really nice.
I decided to stay in this week-I spent a lot of time reading. I am kind of proud of myself because in the last 5 days I've finished two novels that would equal to roughly about 1400 pages. I'm not going to admit what I was reading though...
Tonight I finally really went out...
Michelle took me to a little chinese place in oceanside that does karaoke every sunday. We got there and there were only about 8 other people in the place....perfect! I waited till about 3 of them snuck out and decided I was in the mood for a song. I've never sung karaoke solo before so I was little bit frightened but I found the courage to get up and sing solitary man by neil diamond. I can't brag about how amazing I was because we all know I don't have the greatest singing voice, but I had soooo much fun up there. It was nice. I had a very nice time tonight. Michelle and I are leaving tomorrow morning to escape to Palm Springs for a short time. It'll be a lovely little get away.

why can't everything just be as easy as sitting on that dark beach?
something from a song that I have fallen in love with recently...
"But oh my lonely diamond heart
It misses you so well
And oh my lonely diamond heart
It misses you, oh well"
-
exactly... oh well.
trying to control or hide your emotions is ridiculous-too ridiculous for me.
actions will always speak louder than words.
welp, you know where to find me...
